Yeukai Gezah

Yeukai Gezah is a young Zimbabwean lawyer who is passionate about human rights and community engagement. She is the current Community Engagement Officer for the Zimbabwe Human Rights Association (ZimRights), based in Masvingo Region. Her work focuses on advancing ZimRights’ SP2P strategy with a focus on community engagement and youth programming.  Yeukai holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of South Africa. During the course of her studies and thereafter, Yeukai has volunteered and worked for different organizations, which include My Age Zimbabwe Trust, Young People’s Network on Sexual Reproductive Health HIV and AIDS, Spire, For Equality and Womandla Foundation. Through her work and engagements, she has developed extensive interests in human rights advocacy, activism and the participation of young people in community development processes and civil society.

Yeukai is a budding human rights blogger. She publishes articles on her personal blog titled Through the Human Rights Lens with Yeukai-Africah. Her aim is to educate and communicate with readers on human rights issues. Yeukai believes that knowledge is key to empowerment, as such she dedicates herself to sharing knowledge through different platforms.
